Abrasive blasting is the process of forcibly propelling a high-pressure stream of abrasive material against a surface in order to:
Abrasive blasting
- smooth a rough surface
- roughen a smooth surface
- remove surface contaminants such as:
- dirt
- rust
- scale.
- paint
After we finish blasting or preparing the surface we either leave it in its raw state for the customer to complete to the desired finish or we continue by sealing the newly exposed item with:
- undercoat or primer in wet paint or powder coat, then
- top coat painting either by wet paint or powder coating*.
*We generally recommend powder coating as the paint is usually a harder finish and less labour intensive so more cost effective.

Abrasive blasting concrete is another technique we perform, exposing the aggregate, creating a non-slip finish or giving it a desired look such as:

Blasting media we use
We offer several types of blasting media including:
- black beauty
- crushed garnet
- glass bead
- urea
- bicarb soda.
Pressure cleaning
We also offer a service using a high powered water cleaner which is effective in removing graffiti and grime off walls and concrete floors.
